Hi.
I like traveling on foot and talking to strangers. So, I started doing it intentionally.
In every job I’ve had, I’ve used my curiosity to ask questions, listen closely, and suss out the real story. Whether my subject is a CEO, a small business owner, or a person I met on the street, asking the right questions and really listening leads to work that audiences trust and believe.
For me, brand consistency starts at the sentence level. I started out as a copywriter at Razorfish, and since then, I’ve composed everything from vision and mission statements to educational philosophies and zingers on hotel room keys. I even named a company.
I’m fluent in New York and Los Angeles, and I explored the territory in between while interviewing people across the country for a documentary. In my experience, non-fiction has what marketing wants—realness, humanity—and marketing has what documentary wants—structure, activation.
Brainstorming and collaboration have shown me that winning ideas can come from anyone on the team. And it’s entirely possible to have a good time while working.
